Kingsferry Wharf is a newly renovated independent and privately owned facility situated on the river Trent. The newly renovated Wharf is the first port reached from the river Humber and as such offers first class connectivity to the regional, national road and rail networks.

The largest vessel discharged at the port was the Russian ship Sormovskiy 49, a 114m vessel with a cargo of timber. The 61metre berth offers the deepest water in the river Trent.

The average height of high waters at Kingsferry Wharf is 5.3 metres, with the average height of low waters is 3.5 metres

Kingsferry Wharf

There has been a port at Burton-upon-Stather for nearly 2000 years. The Romans used it as part of their Grain run and by 1342 it was given a Royal Charter stating Burton Stather as a major inland port

Port Services

The Wharf can handle all types of cargo including aggregates, timber, steel, and bulk products, including husbandry services, re-fuelling and lay by facilities.

We have 1380 m3 (14,863 sq ft) of covered warehouse space on site.

Before fixing a vessel, if near to these limits please consult with the Pilotage team. A tug may be needed to assist with the swing, head to tide.

Location

Kingsferry Wharf is located immediately next to the River Trent in the area of Burton Stather, approximately 5.6miles from Scunthorpe Town Centre. The premises benefit from excellent motorway links, with the M180 accessible from Junction 3 approximately 8 miles away, with further access to the M18 and M62. Immingham Docks are also easily accessible from the property approximately 29 miles away.

Stevedoring

We have a flexible team of stevedores who are highly experienced in the discharge and handling of all types of cargo, in any shape or size. Our team is also experienced in all aspects of warehousing and distribution.

Open Storage

Kingsferry Wharf offers 4 acres of open storage on site with a further 15 acres nearby. Both sites are securely fenced and are covered by the latest infra-red HD security cameras and 24 – 7 security.

Linesman Berth and Unmooring charges

Mooring 200.00 per operation.

Unmooring 200.00 per operation.

Cancellation £200 if less than 4hrs to high water Flixborough.

Other services

Specialist material handling including a complete bagging service ranging from 10 kg to 1.5kg bags complete with full bagging and storage facilities. The warehouse contains the latest dust arresting system.

Container stuffing and de-stuffing, devanning as well as providing advanced loading and unloading solutions resulting in lower transport costs for our customers.
